How to play IndieFeed song-after-song
If you use iTunes to get your IndieFeed podcasts, you may have noticed that it's not easy to hear all your favorite IndieFeed songs play continuously. This is partly because Apple has designed its podcast functions to not allow this, otherwise every time you access one voice podcast you may end up hearing all the archives. This is good functionality for long-format voice podcasts, not so great for short format music podcasts like IndieFeed.
How do you solve this? Easy, create a Smart Playlist!. In the dropdown window: go to File---New Smart Playlist. On the form at "Artist" keep "contains" and enter:
IndieFeed.com community
Then press the plus button next to the last form and another one opens up. Depending on what IndieFeed show you want to put in this playlist you would change "Artist" to "Album," keep "contains," amd then add one of the following (these represent "Album" names for podcasting purposes):
IndieFeed: Alternative / Modern Rock Music
IndieFeed: Indie Pop Music
IndieFeed: Big Shed Audio Documentaries
IndieFeed: Blues Music
IndieFeed: Electronica Music
IndieFeed: Hip Hop Music
IndieFeed: Performance Poetry
That should do it. Now access that playlist and you get the music playing song-after-song. If you want to mix and match IndieFeed channels into one Playlist just add more Album designations into the same playlist.
Cheers!
Team IndieFeed
Thanks for the heads up -- now is there any way to get it to keep going when you click the 'turn shuffle on' button?

OR instead of all that you could just select all of the podcasts, right click "get info" and then select "no" for "skip when shuffling". then they'll play continuously

Thanks for the tip! It's so obvious I find it hard to believe I didn't think of it earlier.
Keep up the exellent work IndieFeed team!

By the way, you can shuffle the play list. What I did, was select all the indiefeed songs and did a 'view info' on all of them. At the bottom of the dialog, there's dropdown titled 'skip when shuffling' -- set that to 'no' and viola, it shuffles.
you can do this per song, you have the same drop down on the 'options' tab
btw, i'm using iTunes 7

Alternatively, you could use Songbird, and make indiefeed.com a playlist automatically!
